6th Dan
Mike has been training in Shotokan Karate for over 30 years and has held the rank of 6th Dan since 2018. The Academy's senior instructor for Ireland, Mike is also national kata coach for the Emerald Isle. Mike opened his first Karate club in Quinn around 1987 and followed this with dojo's in Shannon, Clare, Bunratty, Kilkishen and Cratloe. An experienced instructor and coach, Mike's goal is to further develop one or more of his students to an international standard and eventually accompany them to the first Olympic Karate Championships.
