On Sunday 29th July 2018, senior club instructors from around the United Kingdom were joined by their dojo assistants in attending the annual ASK instructors class.

The content of 2018's three-hour training session conducted by Academy chief instructor Sensei Dave Hazard, consisted of close examination being given to the transitions of blocks and stances when moving in all aspects of Shotokan. The kata Jion was also looked at in great detail with many of these developed transitions being applied.

Congratulations to Paul Walton of the Academy who was awarded his 5th Dan by Sensei Hazard.

The ASK are pleased to announce that during a special 2-day course in Northern Ireland, Paul Burley of the Eglinton dojo has been awarded his 4th Dan by academy chief Instructor Sensei Dave Hazard.
